Informed Financial Consent

AAMSA strongly encourages its members to ensure patients have received informed financial consent prior to surgery, wherever practicable. A signed Informed Financial Consent form is recommended.

AAMSA acknowledges that in cases of emergency it may not be possible to obtain Informed Financial Consent before surgery. In such instances patients should be advised of fees as soon as possible after surgery.
